The Aelfric Lodge was formed by brethren resident in the village of Eynsham and was consecrated in April 1980. Although the consecration of the Lodge took place at the old Masonic Centre better known as “333” Banbury Road, the Lodge has subsequently always held its meetings at the Woodstock Masonic Hall.
The Lodge is a “Summer Lodge” i.e. one whose formal Lodge meetings take place only in the summer months (each month from April to September with the exception of August), although there is a Lodge of Instruction Festival meeting each year in November. In addition there are various social events that take place and keep the Lodge members active throughout the calendar year.
